Internship Description

‍This Product Design Internship offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is setting trends in the industry. You will work closely with skilled product designers and project managers to develop and refine products that meet the high standards of our clients and the needs of markets both in Japan and internationally. This role involves a blend of technical skills, creative problem-solving, and market research to ensure our designs are not only innovative but also viable and user-centric.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the conceptualization and development of new products, from initial sketches to prototyping and final design.
• Engage in user research and market analysis to ensure our designs meet market needs and consumer expectations.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing insights and updates on product development stages.
• Work alongside engineers and manufacturers to ensure design specifications are met and to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the prototype phase.
• Assist in the creation of product documentation and specifications for production and patent applications.
• Contribute to the sustainability initiatives of the company by proposing and integrating eco-friendly design principles.
• Maintain an understanding of industry trends and advancements in design technology, applying this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a thorough design process, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools.
• Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Proactive and able to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English. Japanese language skills are highly advantageous but not mandatory.
